A: It's a shared library that allows 3rd party applications an interface
   to perform scanning files, archives, boot sectors for viruses and
   deleting or moving infected files from filesystem or from archives.

Q: What archives does the library support?
A: At the moment the ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, MIME, ARJ, RAR, EXEC, ARC,
   LHARC, ZOO, CHM, CPIO, RPM, ISO, DBX, SIS and WINEXEC archives are
   supported.

Q: Is it possible to scan localy saved e-mails?
A: Yes, the library supports the MIME archive, so it can be use to scan
   a content of a local mailbox or maildir.

Q: I haven't a x86 machive. Am I out of luck?
A: Only an Intel platform is supported now.

Q: What kind of Unices are supported now?
A: Linux and FreeBSD.

Q: How often should my cron daemon check for a new virus signature file?
A: We suggest to setup the cron to check for the file periodicaly after
   six hours.

Q: Is it required to restart an application, currently using the avast!
   antivirus kernel, when the new virus signature database is downloaded?
A: No, the avastvpsreload binary will install downloaded signature file
   and initialize its reloading.

Q: Is it possible to have the library configuration for a non-root user?
A: The `.avastengine.conf' configuration file located in user's home
   directory is used by the avast! library prior that located in /etc or
   /usr/local/etc directories. The user can also use the avastvpsreload
   application to install or/and upload its own virus signature file.
   The user can also setup configuration setting for downloading a newer
   version of the VPS file in ~/.avastvpsupload.conf file.

Q: Is it possible to install avast! kernel version 4.6.0 or higher over
   any previously installed version (2.5.12 and lower)?
A: Yes, it's, but you must overwrite /etc/avastengine.conf file with the
   newly installed one and remove /etc/cron.daily/avastvpsupdate.pl file.
