The number of messages successfully downloaded varies, sometimes as few as 10 and as many as 100. I believe it is something in one of the messages, but not sure what. Current solution: move the messages out of the users mailbox and then copy in about 30 messages at a time and have the user retrieve. All the messages are eventually retrieved. There is a similar post from February of last year about a carriage return causing this issue. Not sure if this is the cause?

Hi,
I think the problem is either a networking fault, or faulty virus
scanner on the users pc.
Next time it occurs
1) get the user to disable any scanner and see if that helps
2) download the same users messages using the same client on a local
network pc
3) try downloading them using another pop client.
Let us know what these experiments show.
Oh and what version of surgemail are you using, probably upgrading to
the current beta would be
a useful step just to eliminate old/known faults.
