Well, there are only 3 of us here at the company (and yes, we host our
own mail server for many reasons).
Does IMAP (this might be a mail client question though) work as a
LOCAL copy of the mail in addition to what's on the server, or is it
like a web view of the mail, and it's only a "view" of what's on the
server, with no local copy? His current Inbox in Thunderbird is
almost 500MB. (He's going to spend a few hours "purging" this weekend,
and there are probably 40-50 sub folders in the inbox!!!
Another "move" thought, is once the IMAP account is setup in
Thunderbird, and the appropriate folders are created on both the
server and client, can you populate the server side by copying the
emails from the POP3 folders to the IMAP folders in Thunderbird, and
they'll "copy" back to the server? Seems plausible.......
